The Blue Bay Cucina idea started years ago among a small circle of friends in Salt Rock, a city situated along the KwaZulu Natal north coast.
A piece of farmland was acquired where a recording studio, LOOP Evolution Records was opened. Later a Surf Board Factory, Blue Rage Backyard Boards was added, using existing structures on the property.
Post-Covid Lock-downs an accommodation building was added and directly adjacent to that, the current thatched roof semi-open-air structures for the Blue Bay Cucina Restaurant were added. To fit into the semi-natural feel, combined with the constant electricity problems that plagued the area, it was decided to go with an "Open Fire" restaurant.
To match the relaxed feel, a decision was made to be a "Functions and Event Specialist" venue restaurant.
A lot of love, commitment, and passion went into Blue Bay Cucina, and their patrons can experience this passion as they are transformed from being a "Patron" to a VIP member of the "Blue Bay Cucina Family"
